Management is all about making good use of limited resources  you have to get the best results and one of the resources that is greatly valued in this day and age is “time”

Most individuals find it really difficult to successfully manage their time well and as a result, they end up being unproductive.

TO UNDERSTAND THAT TIME MANAGEMENT IS A MYTH

The fact that you want to learn some time management skill doesn’t automatically make time manageable, instead it’s our individual selves that needs to be managed. The reason for this is that in a day there are only 24 hours for us do our daily activities therefore you can’t really manage time instead you have to manage yourself by making sire you are conscious of how to make the best use of the available time.

The second is

TO FIND OUT THE TIME CONSUMERS

Many of us are subject to this situation,  we let ourselves consciously or unconsciously to be robbed of the time needed to carry out our necessary duties as we ought to. For those times we lost unconsciously,  find out what could have been the cause of that.

Do you spend more than enough time on your mobile devices, eating, dressing up, talking to a colleague ? If so, you need to out an end to that now because if not your productivity at work will drastically fall and some assignments or tasks will have to be delayed.

The third is

TO CREATE TIME MANAGEMENT OBJECTIVES

If you can recall from the first tip i gave about how time is a myth and we can’t really manage time instead we manage ourselves to make the best use of time.

That statement enables me to say that in order for you to manage your time, you need to set some goals for yourself within a definite period of time. For example, you will finish your food and get back to work under 5 minutes.

The fourth is

TO USE TIME MANAGEMENT TOOLS

One of the most efficient ways to manage your time well is by using time automated tools like apps, software and the likes.

A very common tool is the outlook software. You can do a lot of things using this software such as scheduling your events and keeping track of all your events including the time frame for each of them. This is a very good tool to try out.

It’s mostly found on desktops, laptops and the likes.

The fifth is

TO MAKE DANGEROUS PRIORITIES

When trying to be more time conscious while carrying out daily tasks,  you need to set goals for yourself with respect to that. You can say you aim to finish 10 sets of task in a particular day but about 7 or 8 of them are a must for you to conclude on that particular day.

This approach makes you put your head in your work because you know you have a benchmark to meet.

The sixth is

TO TRY DIVISION OF LABOR

Except you are a machine which you are not, you need to understand first that most of the tasks given to you to accomplish will take forever for you to complete them not because you are lazy but because the work load is too much.

You need to recognize that fact first, then after doing that you can find people around you who don’t have much on their hands and can still do with a little more job, after getting those people you can then delegate some of the tasks for them to handle.

You will realize that those tasks will be sorted out in no time and you can meet whatever deadline  you have set for that task to be completed.

The seventh is

TO BE CERTAIN THAT YOUR SYSTEMS ARE ORGANISED

Having a disorganized office space can hinder a lot of things from going on smoothly. Imagine you need a document for one of the tasks you are working on and you can’t find the document at that moment but you know the document is somewhere in that office, you will realize that a lot of time will be lost trying to find that document but if the office is organised, it will be very easy to locate.

The eighth is

TO AVOID WASTING TIME BY WAITING

Just as the popular saying goes, “time waits for no one”. This saying is so true and applicable to life situations. As an entrepreneur or business owner or even an employee or an employer, time is a very key asset on the road to success .

When you have an appointment with a client or someone, don’t just wait for that person or group doing nothing instead engage yourself during that period of time and do some work, you can go through your spreadsheets, reading a report and so on. Just keep yourself busy.
