HABITS TO QUIT AS AN ENTREPRENEUR

Entrepreneur habits

Entrepreneurship is hardcore hardwork coupled with smartwork. The habits you possess an an entrepreneur will either make or mar you.

As an upcoming entrepreneur or one that has been in the art of entrepreneurship for a while will agree with me that most businesses fail in their early stage. But why?

Entrepreneurship as i have stated in the first paragraph is hardcore hardwork coupled with smartwork although its not limited to that. Alot of other things are also involved in the success of an enterprise.

As an entrepreneur you have to be dogged and determined, you also have to be patient while investing your time, effort and resources. You also need to possess the habits of having the mentality to take risk, although you have to be wise about it.

THINGS TO QUIT AS AN ENTREPRENEUR

  1. PROCRASTINATION.
  2. SPENDING MORE THAN YOU EARN.
  3. NON-DELAYED GRATIFICATION.
  4. AVOIDING STUDYING

This list is endless, there are a thousand and one habits to quit as an entrepreneur and until you quit them, you cannot move on to the next level waiting for you.

1. PROCRASTINATION.

Procrastination is a major obstruction to success as an entrepreneur, it’s a killer of time.

For you to shun off every feeling of procrastination, you have to be disciplined. That’s one way to stay clear of procrastination.

You also have to set goals , set goals that are high but still accomplishable. Set short term goals, i say short term because you know the deadline for those short term goals are short and you have alot to accomplish within that period of time.

2. SPENDING MORE THAN YOU EARN

As individuals or human beings, we all want to enjoy life and spend well, buy things we want at any given time provided the money is there.

We should not forget the fact that money has feelings, the way you treat your money is the way your money treats you.

A wise man once said “if you buy things you dont need, soon enough you will sell things you need “.

Another wise man said that ” dont spend more than you earn “. I picked this up from a wise man, he said “dont save what is left after spending, spend what is left after saving”.

3. NONDELAYED GRATIFICATION

To fully maximise the benefits of business, you must be able to delay gratification.

Trying to please yourself after every tas may not be the best option for you, you have to still press yourself further, telling yourself that there are still alot to be done.

Gratifying yourself at the beginning of the success of a task leads to you being contented with the success attained thereby leading to you being relaxed as to working harder.

So stop that habit now, and start delaying yourself of the gratitude for every work done.

4. AVOIDING STUDYING

This may look like a trivial point but its not, it goes a long way in the success of any business.

Having to study for any task or project puts you ahead of your contemporaries, you have an edge as to what to expect at every turn of the journey.

This may look like a trivial point but its not, it goes a long way in the success of any business.

Having to study for any task or project puts you ahead of your contemporaries, you have an edge as to what to expect at every turn of the journey.

I know you are familiar with the popular saying that “readers are leaders “. Yes its true, Sir Isaac Newton said “if i have seen any better its because i stood on the shoulders of giants”.

One of the ways to stand on the shoulders of giants is to study them.

Some of the giants in your field might be long gone but their impacts are still on the earth, some embedded in books, you can take them up , read them and follow their steps.

Success is based on principles, following such principles judiciously will ensure you success in your field too because success can be reproduced.
