HOW TO CREATE YOUR WEBSITE ON WORDPRESS
Below are basic steps to get started and you can be done within 30 mins
1. PICK A DOMAIN NAME
Domain names are what people type in url. When picking a domain name, pick a name that is related to your niche. For example, a clothing line should have a domain name that is related to it.
When picking a domain name, pick a name that is simple and easy.
Hosting services like bluehost, namecheap and some other hosting services are unique in the sense that they can help you get a domain name as well as hosting it.
To get your domain name, simply type the domain name of your choice and click next, if the domain name is available, you can then continue the setup but if not, you can pick another top-level domain like .org instead of a .com .
2. BUY A HOSTING ACCOUNT AND SELECT A PACKAGE
Since you have picked your domain name, you will then have to create an account for your hosting package.
In this part, you will have to select the package that suites both your financial strength and the purpose of wanting to create the website.
3. CREATE A SUITABLE THEME
On wordpress, there are many themes to pick from. To do that, just go to appearance on the dashboard of your wordpress website then select theme. You can then pick from the variety there, they are for free unless you want to buy themes and then install on it.
There are some themes there that are specific to a particular niche so you can search for them and if lucky, you can find one suitable for you.
4. CUSTOMIZE YOUR THEME
Once you have selected your theme, you will have to customise it to suit your taste.
